I can't believe I last wrote in this blog in April! Where has the time gone?
Well, for me, about a month after I wrote in here my 39 year old son dropped dead from a massive heart attack! Had not been sick. Had a few health problems that he was working on and researching. But nothing prepared us for his sudden death. His name was Charles Douglas Pruitt, Doug for short. He was the youngest of our 4 children. He and his brother Darren were best friends.
His dad, Charles Ezra Pruitt, died almost exactly 48 hours after that. It was May 17, 2010. His death was expected as he had been ill for a long time. He died from COPD. Wouldn't quit smoking.
Here it is Nov. 4, 2012 and I heard about 2 deaths today. Lynn Mobley's long time friend Noel died yesterday, leaving three daughters. She was an alcoholic at one time but I don't know if that was part of her death or not. It's just so sad. Lynn hadn't talked to her in years.
ReplyDeleteThe other death was a former neighbor from Norcross, GA. Mike Voight was his name. His son Shane was Darren and Doug's good friend starting in elementary school. Met up with him again on FaceBook. Mike was a nice guy and a good neighbor. He left a wife, Bobbie, son Shane and his family. 11:58pm
